Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has debunked the reports of Super Eagles having a new jersey launched by NIKE.
Recall that there were news that emanated from microblogging website X, formerly Twitter and other social media platforms on Thursday that Nigeria will be going into the Africa Cup of Nations with a new jersey launched by NIKE.
However, NFF in a statement issued on Friday said that the reports are false.
“Rumours about a new jersey launch between NIKE and the senior Men’s National team circulating round social media has been brought to our notice. We want to inform the general public that this claim is not true,” the football governing body in Nigeria stated.
NFF also said that there is no jersey launch for the team in preparation of the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire.
“At the moment, we have no jersey being launched for the Super Eagles for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to hold in Cote d’Ivoire next month.”
